Shaping Your POV

A point of view is the perspective we bring from our knowledge, experience and expertise. Each of us must find our natural and authentic voice.

We use our point of view to lead, influence, persuade, create awareness, or simply inspire others thinking. 

During this session, participants learn to formulate and communicate their point of view with purpose and intention. It is critical that leaders communicate in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.

Outcomes include:

  • Formulate and communicate a point of view with candor, purpose, and intention

  • Ability to use our voice to inspire and engage others

  • Incresed confidence in your ability to articulate and share your point of view

Conversation is the essential leadership skill.

Great leaders use their voice and are skilled communicators. Whether it is to maintain productivity, implement organizational changes, or to produce results, leaders must have the skill and ability to conduct effective workplace conversations.

The focus of this series is on three critical workplace conversations that leaders must have on a regular basis - coaching, feedback, and courageous conversations.

Leader as Coach

Leader as Coach is an in-depth learning experience designed to help leaders develop a coaching mindset, engage in one-one coaching conversations with others, and inspire others to have greater impact within the organization.

Outcomes include:

  • Implements coaching strategies to accelerate employee learning, development, and growth.

  • Applies the GROW Model to conduct meaningful coaching conversations with others.

  • Recognizes the role of a coach and demonstrates the associated characteristics and skills necessary for effective coaching. 

Giving & Receiving Feedback

How to give powerful and effective feedback is a critical leadership skill. This workshop focuses on the skills and strategies necessary to help others understand where they are doing well and where improvement may be necessary.

Outcomes include:

  • Realizes the critical role feedback plays within an organization’s culture and to individual success.

  • Identifies opportunities for positive and constructive feedback.

  • Applies effective feedback techniques when giving and receiving feedback.

  • Openly receives feedback from others, evaluates its validity, and takes appropriate actions to implement the feedback. 

Courageous Conversations

As leaders, we find ourselves needing to engage in conversations that may be challenging or even difficult at times. To be an effective communicator in these situations, we need to demonstrate courage, build connections and act with curiosity.

Courageous Conversations focuses on the 3 C's and provides a framework to help us think and prepare for these types of conversations.

Outcomes  include:

  • Demonstrates courage by initiating necessary discussions that may be uncomfortable or unpleasant.

  • Creates a safe environment to allow difficult conversations to take place.

  • Communicates messages in a clear, concise, and respectful manner and demonstrates effective listening and inquiry skills.

Leading Self and Others through Change

This session helps leaders understand and learn how to manage the people side of any change initiative. 

 

When individuals first hear of a change, their internal reorientation process begins. This session covers the process people go through as they come to terms with change - the transition.

 

Transition has been identified as the main reason why change efforts fail.

Outcomes include:

  • Enhance the ability of leading oneself and others through difficult change initiatives.

  • Gain an understanding of the critical elements for driving the people side of successful change.

  • Learn how to create and implement effective transition strategies

  • Understand how to successfully engage, align, and lead stakeholders in change initiatives to minimize project misfires or delays.

Change Accelerator

Accelerate the success of your change efforts and initiatives.

 

During this session participants apply learnings from Leading Change and/or Leading Self and Others Through Change to a real change initiative in which they are playing an active role.

This session focuses on specific tools leaders of change can utilize to:

  • Identify a range of forces that help or hinder your change effort.

  • Assess the current and desired level of support of specific individuals or groups who will be affected by the change and whose support is critical for success.

  • Gain an understanding of the strategic imperative for the change effort and clearly answer the "Why change?" question.

  • Understand and communicate what the successful future state will look like in behavioral terms.
